Disseminating Scientific Information
My area of emerging expertise centers on organizing and disseminating scientific information and communicating it in ways that are clear, accurate, and accessible.
The three experiences I will be showing represent how this skill developed over different academic and research settings.
Through my literature review on Alcohol Use Disorder, my Health Psychology presentation, and my research poster on ethanol intake, I have grown not only in my ability to understand scientific information but also in my ability to organize and share it effectively with others.

Executed a comprehensive 15-page literature review on Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) as part of my honor's contract during my senior year fall semester.

Selected topic to enhance my insight into the mechanisms of AUD

Through analysis, comparison, and summarization of multiple research articles, I significantly improved my research comprehension skills.

Reflection
​Through my literature review on AUD, my health psychology presentation, and my UROP research poster, I have developed a strong foundation in understanding, organizing, and communicating scientific information. Each artifact allowed me to grow in different ways.
The literature review allowed me to improve my ability to organize research articles. My health psychology presentation further developed my communication skills, driving me to become a better presenter.
Lastly, my UROP presentation improved my ability to communicate detailed scientific information, strengthening my critical thinking.
This growth will support my career as I hope to become a psychologist with a strong ability to present information to my clients clearly and confidently. More specifically, my research skills will improve my ability to treat and assess clients, as this task demands that I address a client from multiple perspectives in a detail-oriented way.
